Dean waved his hand in a see here gesture. “Cas, it’s cool. I don’t mind doing research for a few hours while you get your forty winks.”
Castiel, the almighty angel who tore a man’s soul from the pits of Hell, the creature who was an extension of Heaven’s righteous arm, the ethereal creature who was raw power and fury and will wrapped up in a human body and a tan trench coat... he was tired. He was so tired. He was looking up at Dean with the most pitiful, pathetic look on his borrowed face. The face that wasn’t borrowed anymore, a secondhand body that was his prison. Like a ratty plastic bag cutting off circulation to a bird’s wings until there was nothing left but raw bloody stumps.
Dean did this to him.
“It’s okay, Cas,” he said softly. “You can stay with me tonight.”

"Angels were a common occurrence in their world. Even though there were angels who lived in Heaven and helped orchestrate events and acted as agents of fate, there were also the angels that just wanted a normal life. For example, take the Novak family. Castiel, Michael, and Lucifer were all brothers. Their father was named Chuck and to them, their mother was just some woman who realized she never wanted fledglings when her kids weren’t even old enough to start elementary school and had abandoned them one night. Castiel, Michael, and Lucifer had three cousins who were named Gabriel, Balthazar, and Zachariah. Michael and Lucifer were twins and older than Castiel by eleven months. This meant that they were all in the same grade, since Michael and Lucifer were born in September and Castiel was born in August of the next year."
A high school AU in which Michael is courting Dean, but Castiel is sure that Dean is his one true mate.

Of course Tony would be the type of angel to get himself exiled from Heaven, that's a no brainer. He breaks the rules and abandons his duties and doesn't care. Except exile is painful and he's actually innocent of the crime they've accused him of. Well at least the people in Purgatory are nice. Even if some of them are demons.
AU where Heaven is a city run by angels with two militant groups. One is the SWORD of heaven, led by the first angel Johann, and keeps the demons out of Heaven. The second is SHIELD which keeps the home front safe and is led by Steven. Tony just happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
