Oh. Oh. This is such a wonderful thing to read post-movie/play. There's a wonderful sense of wistfulness throughout the piece, and don't get me started on how wonderful the writer manages Prior's voice, which manages to be sarcastic, self-deprecating, hopeful and thoughtful all at the same time. Not only that, but Lou was also a joy to see grow up slowly through Prior's eyes. THIS IS JUST SO FANTASTIC. I- AHHHH.
