'Clever tyrants are never punished', John thought. He’d read that somewhere, though he couldn't recall where, exactly. But looking across the small table at the man half-hidden behind a textbook, dark curls falling over extracting eyes, making them appear almost innocent as they dissected, he felt himself shudder. Sherlock Holmes had become the tyrant of his mind, his very being. John couldn't bring himself to admit just how deep it went, but he felt as though it was permanent.
“I thought we were going over Chapter Eleven,” that low voice always peaked his attention, whether he wanted it to or not. “If you’re not going to read, you’re wasting my time.
