Summary
England, 1882 - but a very different England from the one we know. Children are raised in austere institutions, away from their parents; schooled to be the best and purest they can be. Everyone, they say, is born equal, and promised at seventeen to a new destiny; a new identity. The good move up in the world and the sinful move down. But there is corruption in this England where, apparently, everyone gets what they deserve. When a pair of youths, Enjolras and Combeferre, attempt to escape from their own institution, they set in motion a chain of events that will change not only their lives and those of the people they know, butt also, for better or worse, reshape the destiny of their country.

Summary
A Victorian Rumbelle AU. This is a tale set in the Vcitorian Era, employing more than a few Victorian tropes. Gold is haunted by the First Carlist War, and Belle embodies everything he hates from his past. Expectations will crumble like the foundations of an old house, and it will be up to them to build something new on the rubble. Rated M for substance abuse.
This story will feature a large cast of supporting characters from the show.

Summary
In this particular city, strangeness is normalcy. Amongst the characters that highlight the place are a pessimistic soothsayer, an enthusiastic mortician, and a doctor who has all too many secrets. That, however, is the least of their problems. After the death of David Strider, a much-beloved palace guard, brings together the odd little community, a string of horrific murders begins systematically dismantling the trust, whilst in some cases it yet goes unnoticed. In the midst, Jonathan becomes fascinated with life outside his comfortable estate, and ends up right in the middle of The Ripper's path.
