Summary
An AU in which the intrepid Burt Hummel made his modest fortune as a Cincinnati mechanic(ing) pioneer, and whereby Kurt has almost - almost - escaped the drab prospect of being a Lima-loser. Instead, his weary history with one Dave Karofsky is condensed into one long, stewing summer at Camp Creosote: the home of the wealthy's intolerable children. Kurt is in self-imposed exile in penance for his petty reluctance to return to Lima, and accept the intrusion of Carole and Finn into their lives. Here, he meets Karofsky and Blaine for the first time, and considers that maybe - maybe - there is a worse Hell than Lima.

It was with that knowledge and faith that Patrick Kane figured it out years ago what exactly Camp Whatchamacallit was for them. It was special, secret. Some people had never and would never hear of it. The summer camp had several Bonded pairs and Pat was lucky enough to be one of them and to be able to witness the Potentials and Bondings happening around him.
