For he believes Hamlet's wisdom that nothing is either good or bad but thinking makes it so. To him, this will be the one place he feels at peace. He has gradually devoted his life to turning the aged, inhospitable manor into a museum stuffed full of historical artefacts and strange, dead, squamous creatures that would give H.P. Lovecraft nightmares. Felix has become the king of the infinite space inside his shell. Those who encounter him often wonder why his satisfaction with his life as curator of his kingdom isn't marred by the bad dreams he must surely suffer.
