Summary
An unknown magic-user in disguise is stirring up the people with his daring rescue bids – at great personal risk he is bringing people on dragonback out of Camelot to safety in Caerleon. Rumour has it that he leaves a calling card with a picture of a flower emblazoned upon it at the site of each rescue. The common people have started to call him “The Amber Rose”.
Inspired by The Scarlet Pimpernel, by Baroness Orczy. The Pimpernel of course is the original, much imitated, hero in disguise; inspiration for Zorro, for Batman, and the immortal Hong Kong Phooey (number one super guy!).
The divergence from canon is blatant; characters and situations from several series are all mixed up to suit my purposes. Sorry if this jars.

When the Company find out they are horrified and tried to apologize but he doesn't accept it.BONUS: The Ring starts to whisper to him, encouraging the depressing and bitter thoughts he has. Enough so that he starts to regret a little bit ever joining the Company and saving their lives.

This story will deal with an hurt Gerontius Took, thain of the Shire, his angry grandson Bilbo, and a proud dwarven king that needs to "sell out" his family to save his people.
The dwarrows have settled in the Blue Mountains after Smaug stole their kingdom. Although Hobbits are happy folk unfortunate circumstances leave the relationship between these to groups somehow chilled and even slightly hostile. But when the dwarrows - who have really not much clue about growing and harvesting - find themselves nearly starved to death, they are forced to reach out for help.
And the thain of the Shire is willing to grant it, under one condition!

So, instead of getting the better of Kirk and company, they get the better of him. But at Khan's trial, Kirk stands up for him and asks that as part of his rehabilitation, he join the Enterprise crew on their five-year mission. Link to prompt below, but basically asked for Leandra not to die. Terrific! Then I had to imagine how that might happen, and I ended up with a modern OC woman, who's from an Earth ravaged by the third world war, and wakes up to find herself in Kirkwall. This thing went so pear-shaped, I wouldn't be surprised if no one bothered to read it, LOL!

Little Bella Baggins finds an unconscious dwarf one day, while looking for elves in the forest. In two weeks, she makes the strangest and loveliest friend she's ever had, only to lose him again when he takes his leave.
He promised he would come back. For he was a king, and kings keep their promises. And his promise was something Bella never wanted to forget.
But she left those childish fancies long ago. After all, she was a Baggins of Bag End, a proper lady. And proper ladies didn't live in impossible dreams about marrying kings or riding off on adventures. It just wasn't done.
Too bad no one told her king that.
