Summary
“I’m goin’ to die for them,” he says to Sophie, before he ever says it to Nate, and it is not a simple statement of fact but a barebones confession, the helpless bleeding of a wound that he was too smart to not know had been made but he’d been putting pressure of for years, hoping that with spit and a prayer that he could make it heal, but he never could, isn’t sure that the stitches that could close that wound have even been invented.
“Yes,” she says, “And how long have you known that?”

Summary
Eliot is absolutely positive that, no matter what Parker says, attempting to sub for her and Hardison is a really, really bad idea. Sex with friends is complicated, threesomes are complicated, and he's just not submissive. Hardison even agrees with him on all points. Besides, Eliot knows that only queers, freaks, and weirdos have that kind of sex, and he's not any of those.
But he's safer than whoever they might meet online and bring home, and he does trust them, and it might be awkward as all hell, but he's willing to try at least once.
And maybe once more after that. Curiosity never hurt anyone, right?

Here's the original prompt/summary that grabbed my attention and let me get creative:
Now that the alpha pack is in Beacon Hills, Derek realizes that he needs help dealing with them. He thinks back to the group of people who Laura went to in Boston, the group that gave her the information about the fire that even he hadn't known--the fake insurance papers, the men with the history of arson on their records, and other families that suffered from massive house fires before they did.
So Derek makes a call to Eliot Spencer, the alpha who took him under his wing while the rest of the crew worked out the details of the fire for his sister, the alpha who used to be in the alpha pack himself, to help get his betas ready for the confrontation.

Summary
In another world, Nate Ford is the human ex-investigator for one of the biggest vampire families in America. The leverage crew is a motley crew of supernatural creatures who are now dedicated to looking out for those who can't protect themselves from paranormal thieves and con men. This time, they're after a loan shark that collects the souls of those that don't pay up- and their plan puts a werewolf Eliot right in the line of fire. And, all the while, Sterling is tempting Nate with his old job again. Based loosely off of the Tap Out Job.
