After his father's death, Jensen Ackles returns to his small hometown of Miracle, Texas to take over the family horse ranch. Jensen had promised himself as a teenager that he'd get out of that town for good, but without a job to go back to in Dallas he doesn't have much of a choice. The Southern Star Ranch's website attracts the attention of an up and coming actor, Jared Padalecki, who is researching his next role in a big, Hollywood drama set on a ranch and he gets in contact with Jensen to see if he can come down to get some hands on experience.
