A little Christmas story.
I have often wondered what if things had been just a little bit different. What if Bill had not been sent to procure Sookie but in reality he was just a normal average vampire, struggling against the situation he had found himself in and attempting to exist the best he could, just mainstreaming and minding his own business.
How different would things be then?
No copyright infringement is intended. Kudos go to Alan Ball, HBO and Charlaine Harris and to Stephen and Anna for bringing to life characters that have become so very dear to our hearts.

Summary
A period AU piece set in the 1850s. Sookie has spent the past 15 years searching for the man who ruined her life, leaving her grandmother penniless and on the verge of madness. Alone with nothing but her driving need for revenge she sets out to hunt down the privateer who doomed her family.
Loosely based on the story from "A Mariner's Revenge Song" by the Decemberists.
Also, really not sold on the title, but it's all that comes to mind right now.
