Post-movie. Lieutenant Schrank is shot by a young gang member while trying to break up a rumble. This throws the Jets into an awkward and uncomfortable position and they, as well as Krupke and others, wonder whether Schrank will survive.

Summary
After the events of West Side Story, Chino and Anita work through issues. Definitely a Shark-centric story, although Action plays a fairly major role. (NOTE: Although the effects of rape are a theme in this story, it's not the main focus, and the relationship between Chino and Anita is consensual. I wrote this in high school, and there are aspects of it I really don't think I handled well, so be forewarned. Also, fangirl Spanish, although I stripped some of that out when I reposted to AO3.)
