His rough, low voice is romantic- sultry, even. Never did she think Shakespeare could sound this sexy. “Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, and summer’s lease hath all too short a date.”
Alys’ heart stops beating when she catches Professor Snow’s eye. His eyes are darker than usual, and she has trouble breathing. Shivers run up and down her spine, and for the rest of the sonnet, he stares at her.
Maybe English class isn’t that bad after all.
