Los Angeles, 5 A.M. It's going to be a beautiful day in the valley, but Spock isn't going to be there to enjoy it. He's going to be driving to San Francisco, the getaway car for Jim Kirk to escape being pegged for a murder he didn't commit. Or did he? It's a long drive up north, and an even longer drive back alone; Spock is going to have a lot of time to think, and he knows the questions rattling around in his brain don't all have answers. But no matter how hard he tries, Spock can't seem to stop wondering: Is Jim Kirk worth risking everything for-- and does he even have a choice in the matter anymore?
