Take it Haldir did neither die nor get seriously injured in the Battle of Helm's Deep and joined the Men of Rohan with his Elven archers for the battle for Gondor. In Éomer, he finds a leader equally strong headed as he is himself.

This series is wonderful. There are alot of grammatical errors - alot! - and there is some anachronistic language. That being said, the author's attention to detail and her breathing intimate life into these characters makes it worth the read. The pairing of Eomer/Haldir is rare in this fandom - as the characters never met, it is largely based on the friendship of the actors - but, hey it is one of my faves and I appreciate a well-written story that really makes me feel. So, I cried; go read it.
