Summary
Darcy Lewis had a political science degree - summa cum laude, thank you very much - and one internship with an astrophysicist on her resume and apparently this was qualification enough to work as personal assistant for a rag tag group of super heroes who just wanted to save the world.
She was not going to argue.
Darcy and Jane band together to get Tony and Bruce to realize their attraction to one another because Jane wants more time with Thor and Darcy likes to ship her employers.

Then the movie happened, and was over, and Bruce decided that they did know what they were doing when he woke up to a grumbling sound, followed by Tony stating, “I want you to know, I am never the little spoon.”
“Am I supposed to be flattered?” Bruce asked. There were several ways to take that comment, but considering that he was a) naked and b) playing the role of the big spoon, it seemed that slight, but well-intentioned and loving sarcasm was the best way to play things. He knew Tony was sensitive about his height. He had seen the disguised lifts in his shoes.
Set during Chapter 6 of Matchmaker, Matchmaker, where Darcy and Jane are attempting to set up Bruce and Tony. Tells, from Bruce's POV, exactly what transpired the fateful Avengers' Movie Night when Darcy made everyone watch Up (and cry) and the two science bros finally got together.

He placed his hands on either side of her ass and lifted her easily. Instinctively, she put her arms around his shoulders and wrapped her legs around his waist.
It would have been really awesome if he had kicked down the door, but the thumb recognition pad sort of took all of the fun out of that. She sighed into his neck as he carried her into her bedroom and gently set her down on her bed.
Never, ever in her life had Darcy Lewis been so grateful for making the bed before she went out.

Summary
Later, much later - after relative calm and some form of normality, if you squinted, returned to Avengers Tower - Darcy would admit to Jane, over coffee, that everything might have happened because she had become complacent. “I mean...Pepper said it was the most important part of the job. Making sure they didn’t kill themselves - and each other. I took notes!” She showed Jane the appropriate entry in her moleskin, because she was feeling contrite. Just not contrite enough to admit any of this to whoever her actual boss was, in the hopes that they would just blame it on all of the maladjusted, wayward super heroes and be done with further inquiry into the issues of culpability.
After successfully getting Bruce and Tony together and finding herself dating Steve, Darcy fails to recognize that the Avenger Mansion's honeymoon period is over.
All she can do is try and figure out What Would Phil Coulson Do?
