In an alternate universe, incurable-klutz!Merlin meets frat-boy!Arthur and it's love (almost) at first sight.

Notes:
  1. In lieu of magic, which always carries with it the risk of Merlin getting into serious (read: deadly) trouble in the show, this version of Merlin is an incurable klutz. I figured he needed some sort of character trait to give all his friends gray hairs. XD

  2. Morgana is Merlin’s older half-sister from their father’s first marriage. Obviously series two has done away with the idea that Goloris might be Merlin’s father, but Merlin and Morgana have always looked like siblings to me (plus they both have natural magic), so I can’t shake the idea.

  3. Arthur is a bit of a spoiled rich boy, but his mother did not die and so he's not nearly as emotionally confused as he often seems in the show. He's not afraid to show he cares. I get the feeling he also has a bit of a hero-complex, so a lost cause like Merlin is just his cup of tea. :)

  4. I am aware that fraternities are not very common in the UK, so please suspend belief where the frat-boy!Arthur cliché is concerned.
