The majority of my fic for the 2009 Star Trek movie is part of my "Rambleverse," named for the particular quality of the Jim!POV narrative voice. The basic premise is that, after Narada, Pike recovers and returns as captain of Enterprise. Spock is still XO, and Jim is third in command.

Notes:

Rambleverse covers a broad timeline, from several decades pre-canon to several years after the movie. Although Rambleverse is based on a comprehensive and consistent backstory, much of that backstory remains unwritten, and there is no linear plotline. I wrote whatever moment I felt like writing at the time (although any given fic contains references to numerous past events--again, it's named "Rambleverse" for a reason!)

On AO3 and in my LJ/DW masterlists (LJ masterlist) (DW masterlist), the fics are arranged according to 'verse chronology. That's probably the most coherent order in which to read the series, but feel free to skip around. I've also tagged each story in the series as "Kayliemalinza's Rambleverse" so you can read the fic in the order in which they were posted instead. (I'd actually suggest doing this for the first few fic, since after the first few months I assumed my readers were familiar with Rambleverse and Rambleverse's OCs.)

The series is mostly gen (aside from Jim's lecherous mental ramblings.) It contains some slash (occasional explicit Jim/Bones, and largely unrequited Jim/Pike) but the romantic and/or sexual relationships are not a particular priority.

Rambleverse contains several OCs, notably my version of Bones' ex-wife (Josa Haprin) and Pike's sister Elena. These OCs live far beyond Rambleverse in my original works, and are not for fandom use. If you don't recognize them from canon, please don't write them!
