Basic Summary: Watson's married, but still very much involved in Holmes' life; consequently Mary Watson becomes involved, as well.
Expository Lump: (between #3 & #4) A fire in the Watson's home, set by agents of a certain enemy of Holmes', nearly claimed Watson's life - Holmes saved him, both of them being injured in the process. Mary Watson realized that the bond between her husband and Holmes was deeper and stronger than she knew and, possibly, deeper than they knew. Afterward, the Watsons stayed with Holmes during the rebuilding of the damage to their home, and so Mary could assist with their convalescence. With a little pushing from Mary, Watson and Holmes finally admit those deeper feelings; after which they have to figure out a way for the strange, three-way relationship to work.
