    Nicely written. I was very impressed with how you managed to capture the voice of the characters from the show and extrapolate backwards in time. You managed to capture the level of humor I expect from Castle and Alexis which I am very appreciative of. The ending was excellent, of course, tying every juncture together and showing what a chaotic effect Kate has upon Castle's little world while still cementing their relationship. Bravo!

    The following is less of a critique and more a comment.
    I am very curious about how Alexis became the good girl her father enjoys. What influence did her mother have on her development? Her mother, what we've seen of her, doesn't seem like much of a stabilizing force. So was it simply her intelligence or was there more of a catalyzing event?

    Your story inspired these questions and I won't hold it against it that it did not answer them. I can assume that since your story uses snapshots of Alexis and Castle's past that there are plenty of other events that helped shaped Alexis into what she is today.

    But that would be a different story. Well done.
