Another fantastic chapter. I totally understand Sherlock's position, and yet can't help but agree with Greg that he was quite a bastard to leave things like he did. He didn't *have* to lie about why he was jumping. But I guess he thought it was simpler and safer that way.
And once again, poor Molly is caught up in the middle of everything. The absolute best person to trust, but the way you've developed her relationship with Greg just makes this more heartbreaking. Because for Sherlock to put her in the position of having to choose protecting him or saving Greg's career... *sigh* You are able to make me see Sherlock from a totally different perspective here, and it's heartbreaking.
By the way, I loved her final conversation with Mycroft. Molly Hooper, deducing and cutting right to the point. She really is growing within this story.
Suicide is never painless for friends and family . . .
I'm glad you think Molly is on the right track. I'm trying to develop Molly slowly--she doesn't quite know how strong she is, and I don't want her learning all at once!
No, I agree on that. She shouldn't just become an incredibly confident and empowered woman all at once. Some thing she will never be, and that's fine. I just like seeing her stand up for herself some, though, slowly. Nicely done.
