Oh. Oh, this is completely gorgeous. The stuff you've slipped into the spaces in the first story makes everything so much better--Sherlock sleeping on her couch, Greg at the funeral, the moment of hesitation on the tube lines. I think my favorite part is Sherlock and Molly watching Sebastian Moran cry alligator tears together (and Molly's commentary is so SNARKY and perfectly in character, I love it), and Sherlock is so careful and trying not to let on that he's damaged (while Molly's doing the exact opposite with everyone else,) and is it just me or was that some simmering UST you've got going between Greg and Molly, there, (which was an absolutely perfect touch,) and then the slight changes in those texts at the end (the shift in "fine," and who says it!) is just absolutely right.
I would love this fic even if it weren't associated with something I'd written, but the fact that it is just makes me beam harder. I can't wait to find out who you are so I can go on and read everything else you've written in this fandom, because seriously, this nailed all of my post-Reichenbach Molly and Sherlock feelings. Thank you so much!
Gah, this was my first Sherlock fic. -hides face- I saw you come up for pinch-hitting and loved rabbit-hearted girl and really wanted to remix it, despite not having done Sherlock before. I'm really, really glad you liked it, though!
There maaaaay have been a little Greg/Molly UST going on. I knew I wanted them to interact, and it kinda fell that way. Poor Lestrade. Poor Molly!
Anyhow, I am so thrilled that you thought it was okay. I was worried! Writing this was such fun that I might just have to try my hand at other Sherlock fics in the future. Thank you so much for providing the great basis for this remix!
This was your FIRST SHERLOCK FIC? And it was a pinch hit? OH MY GOD, you're AMAZING. I hope you do write more Sherlock fic--I'd certainly love to read it if you did. Thank you again--I just reread it, and there are so many extra things that I loved about it. Sherlock being referred to as a ghost (I'm kind of a huge sucker for using as much death/macabre imagery as possible when dealing with post-Reichenbach Sherlock), the way I feel both Molly's frustration at Moran's lies, and the way you offer just enough of a hint at truth in the lies that I also feel bad for Moran, with that sheen of repressed tears in his eyes. I love love love that image of Sherlock lying on the metal tray they put corpses on, calling himself stupid (and I love love love that Molly was there to see that, to drag the truth out of him.) But I could just keep going on--I really love this. Definitely write more Sherlock fic, if you're ever so inspired. :)
I HAD THIS EXACT SAME REACTION. I THOUGHT YOU WERE AMAZING WHEN YOU WERE THE ANON WHO WROTE MY AMAZING REMIX, AND I HAD THIS WHOLE SEPARATE "PYREBI IS AMAZING" THING WHEN YOU WERE THE PERSON WHO WROTE "START QUOTING SHAKESPEARE", AND NOW YOU'RE BOTH, AND IT'S, LIKE, WAY TOO MUCH AMAZING ALL COLLECTED IN ONE PERSON.
