    I love John/Mystrade!!! I would love to see them together, maybe a Doctor John scene taking care of Mycroft, or soldier John saving Mycroft from being kidnaped.

      John is going to BAMF in this story and yes he is going to save Mycroft's soft civil-servant backside. The Mycroft/John in the story is I am afraid to say is a plot device (saying any more would be terrible spoiler) - this story is very much John/Sherlock unfortunately.
