  1. I'm so glad you're enjoying it 8D I worried about pace, and that people could possible grow bored while waiting for it to pick up, but I plan this to be quite long, and to achieve the effect I want, I need to build up the connection. I feel I would write it flimsy at best if I didn't take everyone through it with me.

    1. your writing's lovely enough to sustain the slower pace of the piece so no worries on that front. I actually adore the way you've paced this piece because it just feels so organic and quiet, the way it probably feels to Loki and Tony. loving your writing, don't stop~

          1. Aw, thank you so very much for the feedback dear 8D I have actually read Halo, I have it bookmarked on FireFox but not here on AO3 apparently! I must have forgotten. It really, really was wonderful, probably the fic that turned me from, 'Oh, this is quite a nice ship, actually,' to complete, 'This makes sense, I need it in my life!'. It played out wonderfully in such a believable way, it was quite an inspiration.

    2. You have delighted me to no end; I LOVE stories with a long, slow build. I gives the writer time to show all the nuances of the world they've made, which is particularly important with an AU, and how the characters fit together in that world. A long fic means I'll have something to enjoy for a good long time. Something to sink my teeth into. I agree with everything nicheinmychest said just below.

Not to be outdone, allow me to make my own recommendation: Off the Record by Hella (http://archiveofourown.org/works/315889/chapters/507386?view_adult=true) A non-AU in which Loki is still villainous but, through a somewhat convoluted sequence of events he and Tony keep ending up owing each other favors and attempting to pay each other back. Well written, good characterization, and no bashing of anyone even Thor. It's still a work in progress, but looking like it will be a long one. I believe it compares favorably with Halo, which I also greatly enjoyed.

      1. You're too kind! I'm so very glad you're enjoying it, and only hope it continues to be worth sinking your teeth into.

I have read Off the Record thus far, eagerly awaiting a new chapter. I simply adore Hella's voice for Tony, it is glorious.
