Ah, I'm a fan of the slow burn. Most of my stories tend to feature developing relationships, or the "how did they get there" kind of relationships builds. I like the anticipation - I think it's more satisfying that most PWPs. Definitely more emotionally satisfying for me, so I'm glad someone else likes it too.
Actually, I was in Smallville fandom ages and ages ago, but in some ways the Nick/Monroe dynamic reminds me (in a bad way) of Clark and Lex, where Clark was always willing to accept Lex's help, but wasn't willing to trust him with his secrets. I'm hoping this show will have more of a balance to it, but there's a part of me that sees the similarities and worries.
