This is so exciting! I love your characterization of Moira--she's so smart and competent and self-possessed even in the face of great uncertainty. My favorite line is probably The metal supports for the railing curl away from the steps and around her arms, twining delicately around her ankles and then clinging tight. Such a beautiful image, followed immediately by "It hurts," tugging the reader back to the reality in which Erik is Moira's antagonist (at least, at this point in the story). Thank you for this! I'm really looking forward to the next part.
