I enjoyed writing the phone call. In my mind, Hotch and Emily are close friends. Its a friendship that has grown and strengthened over time and I would love for it to be explored more in canon. But I also have a lot of fun with Hotch and Beth. There's just something about these two that brings all kinds of happiness to me so developing something between them has been an adventure as well.
