Hello! I don't know if I posted it on here, but on FF.net I wrote that I've worked with horses for a while and that I'd be taking some artistic license. Sometimes following proper procedure would make the writing awkward. That being said, that whole post-race routine would be a prime example. Going through all the necessary motions to keep Sherlock's body in an actually healthy form didn't quite fit in with my plans.
But I do really appreciate you writing all that out, and I hope that I'm not coming across as defensive because I'm actually very grateful for this. The more information, the better!
