Wonderful. I like the one word description with little Aral describing corners, and Miles loving fun and painting little Gregor with mulberry juice. I like the idea of Martya treating Enrique like a bet "She fed him well..... and took him for walks" And Cordelia circling around the idea of staying on Barrayar like a shuttle deciding to land. This is wonderful, please write more on the garden. I always hate the idea of killing plants even the poor boxwoods. It spoils the grand scheme of killing everything at once but perhaps sentimentalists can be offered cuttings of their favorite plants, or even the actual plants if they are divisible. A Vor lady might add a wisteria vine to her garden in memory of a first kiss, or a walk in the gardens that took considerable time but didn't cover much distance. Miles can bring a mulberry seedling to the country estate.
Well, they haven't actually started the process of tearing things out by the end of this, so hopefully some of it will get transplanted or have cuttings taken. Thanks!
