I absolutely love this. Your writing in the first section is so vivid, with such distance and emotional disconnect, and I am just flailing at how much I love them and their relationships. I'm sorry to take a while to comment, and I very much look forward to the Romana/Narvin flavoured sequel!
Thank you! So, this is the fic I kicked myself over about an hour after posting the other, because clearly it was meant to be your yulefic all along. That being the case, it seemed silly not to post it, so here we are. The sequel, wherein Narvin has to deal with the emotional aftermath of this incident, is still in the works, but hopefully my fic brain will wake up in time to get it finished for you before More Politics.
I was glad to see you also had yuletreats from other writers--next Yuletide, I solemnly swear to let somebody else write for you :)
