    I only know Burton by name and I don't know any of the others at all, but this was still wonderful and funny and unexpectedly charming. (So, very appropriate for a Burton story, if I understand correctly. Well, almost appropriate; it didn't make me want to slap it.)

      Thank you! I'm glad you didn't want to slap my fic, haha - though that's probably an appropriate reaction for Burton himself.

      Also, I don't know if you're interested, but I did a historical commentary on this fic here. It's mostly explaining some of the more obscure references that I made in this story, plus some fanning of Isabel Burton.
