Thank you Santa! I was a terrible Yuletider and never wrote you a letter, but you did marvelously in spite of my failings. I love how you've brought across Annie's wisdom and resilience, and how she always keeps choosing and fighting for life/humanity and growing ever stronger as a result. I also like how this suggests that she is carrying on the positive parts of Mitchell's legacy by continuing to protect George and acting as a leader for good; she is faced with her door again, but though she recognizes that her personal business is finished, she steps up and decides to work for something beyond herself. A very nice character study. Thank you!
