This is AMAZING! You are unafraid of writing a dark, gory, gruesome story, which I love more than I can say. Love the last two lines -what an incredibly strong finish, and the fact of who actually turns out to be the wolf. And my favorite line of all: I'll hide my beast-face 'neath my girl-skin-- thank you, and hope you have a wonderful yuletide, the same as I am:))

My fairy tales tend to turn rather dark. I'm not sure why; I'll just start thinking about a mother sending her child into a wood that she and the child both know is full of hungry animals or a prince, at his wedding, ordering a woman to dance herself to death in red-hot shoes, and suddenly the whole story will change for me.

Oh, I'm so glad that you liked the ending. It fought me no end. So I'm very glad that it works!

That's my favorite line, too.

You're very welcome, and I hope you had a wonderful Yuletide as well!
