Comment on Brit-pick Hints for Sherlock Authors

    The only issue I have is "was stood"--I've only seen that phrase from British authors, and it sounds very odd to my American ears.

        Thanks for putting this together. I always get my stuff Brit-picked, because I'm sort of neurotic about that kind of thing ("gotten" is the most difficult thing for me to remember, because it is grammatical American English!) But I always find something new when I read another Brit-pick list.
