Okay, Vex. I'll admit something to you. I read the beginning, and it was a bit slow. I felt like you could have worded some things better and blah blah blah. It doesn't matter.
You got me with the end. You really did, and I appreciate that. Take my kudos and a few internets from the bowl on the table. You deserve them.
Beginnings have pretty much always been my Achilles heel. Usually I can work around this particular weakness by just coming in with a lot of energy. Unfortunately with the word limit being what it was, I didn't really feel comfortable letting myself off the leash, so to speak. This is also why I didn't do much editing.
Glad to know I did the idea justice in the end though, that was my biggest worry.
