I had to turn my light on because you set the atmosphere so well that I got a bit scared as I read. I love how you captured that feeling of things just being ever so much off--enough that you can always feel it, but too small a difference for anyone else to catch. So you're left alone in that sensation--that terror that whatever unnoticeable thing has gone wrong will come to get you.

And I love that you turn the whimsy and the fun of that episode where little Amy and the Doctor meet on its head. It's fun and games for them. Full of not-so-imaginary friends and daring adventures, but people like River know the cost and Sharon lives it. I hadn't thought of that before reading this but it fits so well. You write a very creepy Amy or rather, she's not creepy, but you show how all those little habits and quirks could slide from the charming 'Oh, you're the Imaginary Doctor' to unsettling and chilling.
