I feel totally inadequate to comment on this. It is gorgeous and painful and perfect, and I am completely convinced it was true. The details you use are stunning, the way you capture Liszt's voice and his jealousy and love and loneliness and insecurity, oh my god, it is truly truly brilliant. And oh man, by the time this was over, I was more than half in love with Chopin myself, with his gentle voice and the way he chides Liszt for his dramatics, and oh my god, that last scene, the two of them wrapped together -- breaks my heart. Beautifully, exquisitely done.
