Yeah, future-fic isn't really AU; I think I just have the mental image of the Overthrow of the Imperium as somehow automatically AU, even though I do think it's bound to happen sooner or later.
And I'd never come across that song before - thanks for including the link. It does fit perfectly with the fic.
