      Okay, I just now saw this comment, and I am deeply, deeply amused. Because of course there's a ghost in the sequel. Which I should really see if I can dig up. Hmmm.

          Yeah. Punk made me write it; she said the story (which was written for a challenge and OVERDUE) was unfinished as it stood, and she would only let me post the story if I wrote the sequel.

          I was trying to convey the ghost thing with Vecchio's antsy behavior. He's not just depressed, and he's not just grieving; he's also losing his mind because he keeps seeing Stella everywhere, and she keeps trying to be REASONABLE, and she's fucking dead, so she DOESN'T GET TO BE REASONABLE ANYMORE.

          And then Ray shows up and he can see her, too, and Fraser has two basketcases on his hands. I thought it would be fun to see someone other than Fraser haunted.
