    I loved this book growing up (absolutely LOVED IT!), and to be honest, I don't remember terribly much of what happened in the book anymore but I remember enough to know that this fic is absolutely awesome. I love the friendship the four of them have struck up, the way they think ahead, and of course the way they start to make friends!

      It seems to have been a much more popular kid's book than I thought--which is a good thing! I highly support re-reading; it holds up really well.
