Oh goodness, this is lovely. So carefully crafted and there's a weight to every word that makes the reality of dreams that don't work out the way you expected them to even more heartbreaking. I love the idea of the reality show - it brings their stories forward into the present time perfectly. You've done a great job of combining the original fairy tales and the song lyrics with your own ideas to create a unique new look at these stories. Aurora as an addict! Snow White and her children! Cyndi as trailer trash! And of course, Rapunzel in her ivory tower. I feel for all of them.
And I think this line really captures the essence of this story for me: "I used to dream," she says cautiously, "but then my dreams came true, and they weren't very good at all. Dreams never are, when they come true." Bittersweet in all the best ways.
