Comment on anyone who's ever had a brother

  1. Love this! I was really into the whole Carver vs. Hawke thing in the game, and ofc Thor/Loki is my OTP. Any chance you could write another fic in DA with bloodmage!Loki and templar!Thor?

Thank you for your lovely comments on my stories! Are you reading through everything I've ever posted? ;) I'm deeply honoured that you find my stories worth your time :)

I love the Carver vs Hawke business in the game too :) We do love our complicated brothers, don't we? At least Carver doesn't try to take down Kirkwall with a Templar army. :)

I had actually never considered bloodmage!Loki and templar!Thor, but it does sound like an interesting possibility. If I did write a story/ficlet in that vein, Thor and Loki won't be brothers - if they were, I'd probably write it on similar lines to the story I have here, with apostate!Loki and pro-mage!Thor. It would definitely make an interesting spin to have bloodmage!Loki and templar!Thor as brothers, but whoa, there would be so much negative energy in that relationship, man. And of course Loki would use Thor as a power source. /cough. On the other hand, the stories I write in which they aren't brothers have a much higher probability of being Thor/Loki, though. :)

      1. I admit to having stalkerish tendencies with authors I like :) So yes, I'll be lurking here, reading!

Thor/Loki >> them being brothers, so I wouldn't mind that at all! I have to admit I tend to assume every mage's a bloodmage, but it'd really fit Loki. Also, I have an unhealthy obsession with the templar/mage power balance, so really I'd love to read it, if you ever get the urge to write something along those lines :)

Ah! What a compliment - thank you!

Do you! Oh, my. Do you do pro-Templar playthroughs, then? I confess I've never done one myself - all my runs have been pro-mage.

I'll see what I can think up. :) Maybe Thor the Templar hot on the trail of Loki the escapee. Not unlike certain aspects of the Avengers.

          1. Actually, I can never play pro-templar! I am always way too firmly entrenched on the mages' side. Thing is, my main is always a bloodmage, and I adore Jowan - heck, I made even Anders a bloodmage in Awakenings. I just think it's way too powerful not to use (and as long as you draw on your own blood, I still firmly believe it's not a bad thing to be).

Templar!Thor chasing escaped!Loki *swoon* Even the thought makes me giddy. Just know there will be at least one crazy fangirl dying to read that! Loki would give Thor such a run for his money.

That's interesting! Heh. I've never played a blood mage, but my sibling has. I personally am not up to the effort it takes to manage a blood mage's powers, but they can be very powerful. Said sibling also had the Cold Blooded staff, and I was so envious during his endgame when Meredith's mana-draining attacks didn't affect him at all. (As a conventional mage, those attacks were so annoying for me)

I've never played a bloodmage - I've had two mages and one Warrior (with the Templar specialisation, which is what I always give Carver when I can, so at least I'll have that part of my background research covered).

I've never played DA:O, but I know enough :) It's sitting about waiting to be played! Maybe in time for DA3. :)

I'll see how it goes! It may not be posted to AO3 if I do it, but I will certainly let you know when it goes up.

Hello! I know it's been a while, but here's what turned up for blood mage Loki and Templar Thor. Templar Thor's definitely there, the blood magic isn't quite as explicit, but it's definitely there too. Rather gen in my opinion, but it could be Loki->Thor if you wanted to read it that way. It was fun to plot and write, and if I ever write more or make something of it worthy of AO3, I'll definitely let you know! Thanks for the idea, it was fun!
