I felt, after the novel, that Terrence was going to need more than simply waking up one day and realizing that if he ever wanted to have sex again it'd be with Ethan, and that there had to have been more going on than just homo-tentativeness if he'd eventually be truly interested, but hadn't been yet in nearly a year of traveling together.
