Your very advanced in language model sounds like my own kid -- age two, cozened my father out of an overpriced shiny Mylar balloon by saying "but Papa, Elmo is my FAVORITE." I think it's cute that Samuel is quietly stirring! If you did want to change it, I think he's at a suitable age for the "put things in, take things out" game with a pot. Hopefully, for Will and Sarah's sanity, not other metal things?
And I don't mind at ALL spending all that time on custard and ranges. That stuff is pure fun for me and I'm glad to have someone to kick it around with.
