True, although it depends a bit on how self-conscious she is. I think I tend to write both John and Rose as being more self-conscious than they are in the comic as it stands, on the basis that it seems to be where their characters are heading.
Let's face it, the reason I got into fanfic was because of the Troll arc and me going "oh no, all these character development crisis points for the Chums, what will happen next" and deciding that I might as well tell myself stories in the meantime.
