This collection is a place where fans can make and/or fulfill fanfiction requests in Yu-Gi-Oh! fandoms. If you have an idea for a fic and want to see it written, make a request. And if you see any requests that inspire you, claim and write a fic for it.

There will be future challenges and collections of Kink Prompt Memes, Rare Pairings Prompt Memes...just to name a few. Ideas and suggestions are welcome.

What is a Prompt Meme?

-A prompt meme is when a person or a group of people send in prompts - or ideas of how they want a fic to be written - for others to see and take up the offer if they'd like.

Why is the collection called 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Series-Wide Prompt Meme' instead of 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Prompt Meme'?

-Reason is that I want to show that all series are allowed and accepted, not just the Duel Monsters and/or the Original Yuugiou which falls under the 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' fandom.

Are there any limits regarding what kind of requests I can make?

-Not really. Gen, M/F, F/F, M/M, Multi, and Other are all welcome. General Audiences to Explicit are welcome as well, just label them correctly! It's what you want to see in a fic, so give enough detail that you get something close to the fic you want. And if you have any squicks or things you definitely don't want to see, make sure to include those as well, so that any authors know not to include them.

 
What fandoms can I request fics for?

-Anything that falls under the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandoms category. Original Yuugiou "Season Zero/Forbidden Season" (27 episodes), Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (224 episodes), Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX (180 episodes), Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's (154 episodes), Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL (Ongoing), and Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series (Any as well!) are accepted.
-If you submit a work that isn't a part of the fandom specified here, it will be removed from the collection(s).

What kind of Crossovers are allowed?

-Crossovers between two or more Yu-Gi-Oh! series. Any other fandom won't be allowed as a secondary crossover.

I've never participated in a prompt challenge on AO3. How exactly do they work?

-Here are the basic steps:

1. Look through the list of prompts. To find it, find the tab that says "Prompts (XX)" on the page and click.

2. When you find a prompt you like, claim it by clicking on the 'Claim' button.

3. Claiming prompts will make them appear under "Claims" on the left-hand menu of your AO3 home page (accessible with the url http://archiveofourown.org/users/YOURUSERNAME/claims). You can go look at them any time and drop any claims you decide you're not interested in anymore.

4. When you have written a fic, go to the claim and click on the "Fulfill" button, then upload your fic using the form that appears (it should have the prompt details already filled in for you).

 
The request I want has already been fulfilled; can I still write a fic for it?

-Yes. There is no limit to the number of fics that can be written for any given request. In fact, it could be interesting to see the same request interpreted multiple ways. If you are still unsure, you may ask the requester (if un-anonymous) if the prompt is still available for more fills.

3. You may fulfill as many requests as you want. You may fulfill requests that have already been fulfilled.

4. If something isn't specified in a fic request, you should assume you have discretion to do what you want with it.

5. While this may be obvious, only fics that fulfill requests should be posted to the challenge. Fics that are not in response to a request will be removed.
