Summary
'Inspired by the movie "In Time", where humans and mutants stop aging between 25 and 40, but are required to earn more time in order to survive.
"Living Time", which can be transferred among individuals, has replaced money and its availability is displayed on an implant on people's lower arm. When that clock reaches zero, one dies instantly. A fast and easy way to earn extra Time is to play chess against each other; the winner wins time from the loser.
When Charles and Erik first meet, they decide to bet all their Time to see which one's beliefs are right - Charles hates that mutants use their powers in chess games against humans and "cheat", while Erik thinks "the better men" should survive. A match to death can be paused at any time and be continued within a year; and while they are playing, the inevitable happens - they fall in love, despite knowing that at the end of the year one of them will have to die.'Basically a lot of angsty schmoop and crying in a World War III world where the governments' attempts to ease the mutants - humans relationship went horribly wrong. Aka how corruption, money and dubious morality destroy personal happiness - Just like the real world.

Dr. Erik Lehnsherr has a fearsome reputation. Due to his incisive autopsy reports, he has gotten more surgeons fired in two years than any other pathologist has managed over an entire career. Summary
Charles Francis Xavier was an ex-foster kid, a man who believed in second chances. He became a social worker in order to help those who could not help themselves. He was happy, life was good. Well, to the best of his capabilities.
Erik Lehnsherr was the CEO of a company that he had built with his own blood, sweat and tears. He never really needed love, and had no desire to ever fall in love.
They meet on a rainy night after a mugging gone wrong. Love tends to sweep you off your feet, then bitch slap you when you least expect it
PROMPT REQUESTED: Abused as a child, Charles Xavier runs away from home and lives on and off the streets until he is taken in by a caseworker: Moira at a safe house. Charles grows up to become a caseworker himself, supervising his own adopted family of ragtag children. Somehow, Charles saves the life of one Erik Lehnsherr. Erik tries to offer him a reward, but Charles refuses. He's wary of Erik's motives, besides, he would have done the same for anyone simply because it was the right thing to do. Intrigued by and immediately smitten with the beautiful young man, Erik proceeds to woo Charles, and in the process becomes a better man by using his influence/money for good.

Summary
We do not breach the void, his mother said, when he was a boy and new to such things.
We do not breach the void, the Elders said, when he was an adolescent, weak though he thought himself strong.
We do not breach the void, his father said, when he reached the flush of manhood, stout and brave and unafraid.
But Erik cares not for their words. He's spent a lifetime staring into the void, into the startlingly blue eyes of the boy on the other side.
We do not breach the void, the songs whisper, but Erik doesn't listen.

The best part about Charles' favorite bakery isn't the location, and it isn't the lovely smell, or even the Earl Grey cupcakes. It's the Baker.

Summary
Out in the black of space, where the only creatures whose company you can always count on are violence and death, making a living is a wager. Erik’s crew of mismatched social misfits scrapes by, toeing the line between law and crime. Normally, they prefer to stay out of the Alliance’s way, but when it comes to defending the very freedom they fought for a decade ago, they only follow one principle: when someone tries to kill you, you kill them right back.
