Clarks Kryptonian biology strikes again. He's discovered that unless he completes the bond that started years ago between him and Lex, he will die. But they haven't been on the best of terms in a while, so instead of dying a slow death, or forcing himself on Lex he asked Jor-El to put him in stasis and he did... but released Kal-El a few weeks later.

Stiles is used to what happens when he stays over at Derek's. They have awesome sex, Derek cuddles him until he's asleep and then slips away to brood or something, seemingly never needing to sleep. So Stiles reaction to Derek breaking the norm is totally justified.
