Summary
It’s 1997 and Jared’s back in his small Texas hometown that he vowed he would never come back to. With a writer’s block and a fiancé left back in San Francisco and no desire to tell anyone about it, he runs into his three childhood best friends Mikey, Tommy and the guy who has been the cause of Jared’s vow: Jensen. Now that Jared’s back, he needs to reconcile who he once was and what he has now become. But with the help of the people who used to know him better than he knew himself, Jared might be able to figure everything out.

Medieval-esque fantasy AU.
Dashing-adventurer!Jared meets male-equivalent-of-a-damsel-in-distress!Jensen, who is on the run from a very shady JDM. With a little (read: a lot) of help from Jensen, Jared overcomes various hazards including a fire-breathing dragon, a haunted forest, and a nymph who is adamant that Jared should come to live with her underwater.
Jared's reputation grows as a result of his heroics but before he and Jensen can plan their happily ever after, Jensen's past rears its ugly head, putting both of their lives in danger. It turns out that disgruntled dragons are the least of Jared's problems.

Summary
Earth is sending out her first planetary colonization mission, and only mods need apply.
Mods (legally known as Genetically Modified Persons) underwent a controversial prenatal procedure: injection of a patented DNA modification protocol that rewrote their own genome, streamlining it, removing both major genetic defects and minor imperfections. They’re optimized physically, mentally, immunologically, psychologically, every way imaginable. They are the best of humanity, and the obvious choice to brave the challenges of a new world.
Jared has a pretty decent genome, and an occupation that the colony needs, but he isn’t a mod. He’s desperate to go into space, so he hatches a plan that involves stealing his co-worker (and crush) Jensen’s DNA. He manages to beat the genomic screening tests, and gets accepted as one of the hundred colonists – as does Jensen. During the voyage, he and Jensen hook up, and by the time they land on their new planet, Jared couldn’t be happier. Things quickly start to deteriorate, though, as he discovers Jensen’s seriously prejudiced views against ‘natural’ humans, and as the colonists start being affected by a mysterious and disabling condition – to which Jared appears immune.

Summary
At twenty-six, Jared didn't expect to be promoted to Captain, but when his father-figure suffers a permanent injury in the line of duty, he suddenly finds himself at the helm of a starship. He gets a good crew: an eccentric engineer, one snarky communications officer, two very-much-in-love navigators, and a first officer who gives Jared less than professional feelings. Sure, things keep going wrong, like pipes bursting, nearly dying by rebels on so-called friendly planets (only once, he swears) and a crew member doing his best to undermine Jared's authority. However, when Jared receives a distress signal from other members of the Navy, he goes against orders to rescue them, putting him and his crew right in the middle of a civil war on a planet with trees as tall as towers, knee-high grass, and people who make even Jared look tiny. There, he finds a conspiracy that goes all the way up the chain of command, forcing Jared to make some quick decisions to save his people.

Jensen Ackles knows that an assignment on Delta Bega will be good for his career. Despite the adaptations it'll take to survive underwater, the prospect of actually staying in one place rather than zooming around the galaxy as part of the Space Corps is also quite appealing. As is the idea of learning more about Jeff, the rather mysterious (and hot) man that Jensen wouldn't mind encountering again. Facing genetic modification, mining disasters and the perils of living underwater, life only becomes more difficult for Jensen when he and Jeff discover a bond that will threaten both their lives.

He sets out to make something of the place and creates a website to attract boarders. The Southern Star Ranch's website attracts the attention of an up and coming actor, Jared Padalecki, who is researching his next role in a big, Hollywood drama set on a ranch and he gets in contact with Jensen to see if he can come down to get some hands on experience. What happens is a little more than what either of them ever expected.
