Summary
People thought life was tough in 1983; oil shortages and high mortgage rates and nuclear war on the horizon, but then something broke through the veil and it really became tough. People died by the hundreds of millions. Miles and miles of land became unusable. Communication,transportation, civil law… all of them were just wisps of what they could have been.
The government threw out reasons for the disaster that didn’t explain how Dust became a living thing covering half of North America, or how a virus turned people evil and then made them disappear, and they certainly didn’t explain why magic was suddenly real or why certain people were so good at bending it.
They also couldn’t explain how, in the depths of civilization’s collapse, one family’s destiny could save the world.

The Winchesters find themselves grounded for several months when John is injured on a hunt, but no matter if they stay or go, a case always seems to find them in the end: a demon is threatening the town's children. 16-year-old Dean joins forces with a local hunter, whose belief in teaching Dean how to be the perfect hunter runs up against Sam's distrust and suspicion—but when Sam becomes the demon's next target, Dean must figure out how to stop it, and decide if he wants to embrace the life his mysterious mentor has laid out for him.

But Ben and Claire don't exactly trust half-demons, and Jesse sure as hell doesn't trust hunters. The reluctant partnership they enter into takes them to the fire-consumed ghost town of Centralia, PA, and then even deeper into the colorless flat abyss of Purgatory. There, Jesse must confront his powers once and for all, even if it means losing his humanity.

Summary
At least thirteen people claim to have either personally witnessed or participated in the death of Sam or Dean Winchester, sometimes both. Oh well. They say true love never dies.
After they're killed like zombies, Sam and Dean wake up in Hell and Heaven. Sam finds Jess – now an old Hell veteran with a screaming, swearing monster she carries in a bag. While they are trying to stay sane and more or less in one piece, Dean has to think of a scheme bad enough to get kicked out of Heaven. It’s a story of zombie love – for one’s brother and for the world of the living – that’s strong enough to make two men and one woman crawl back out of the grave.

In the beginning, there is a possessed doll and an angry spirit. Then the doll gets destroyed, the spirit banished, and Sam and Dean move on. But it seems something is following them – or so Sam believes. Yet he knows just as well as Dean that that is absolutely impossible, so maybe Sam is just going crazy and all the weird noises he hears are simply the sounds of the wall in his mind falling to pieces.
