Summary
Dean discovers Sam's birth defect the first time he ever finds the courage to touch his fifteen year old brother sexually, and although, at the time Dean tries to play it cool, he soon realizes that Sam has no idea that anything is different about him. After extended research on the subject, Dean realizes he needs to confront his father about the problem. But the thing is, how is he suppose to tell John without actually telling him anything, and how long can he keep Sam in the dark about the whole thing? Things quickly unravel as the truth comes out and Dean's carefully laid plans fall apart.

When Sam Winchester is four years old, a motel explodes and he is assumed dead. Guilt and fear keep the remaining two Winchesters together for a while, then tears them apart. Left behind by John, Dean finds a life with Bobby and Pastor Jim. He goes to college, gets a good job, and is discovered to be one of the country's best shooters. On his way to compete in Shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, he meets swimmer Sam Polanski and finds there are greater prizes than bronze, silver, or even gold. But when have Winchesters ever won anything without sacrifice?

Summary
As a infant Sam's mother, Mary put many protections on him in hope that he would one day find the one who was the one. The one destined to complete his soul, to make him whole. She wasn't counting on demon blood being introduced into the mix, or young Dean sleeping outside his brother’s bedroom when they cast the spell.
Sam and Dean grow up, Sam leaves for college, his dad telling him that if he goes, not to bother coming back. Circumstances bring the boys back together, searching for their father, unexpectedly they find themselves operating under a curse. By day one of them is a coyote and by night the other is a wolf. They manage to hunt and survive under insane conditions. Through notes, their feelings that they had just admitted to, grow and flourish.
Eventually Bobby, Ellen, Missouri, John and the boys search for a way to save the boys and to stop someone from opening a devil's gate. The boys must face the demon that changed Sam as human in order for the curse... for its blood was indeed a curse, to be broken. There is only one problem... the demon is also aware of this. Summary
